Making wash cloths.

I have several pieces/scraps of terry cloth left over from making bibs so I decided to try making wash cloths from them last week. They are very soft, work great, and are easy to make.

I use a rotary cutter to get a very even cut. This one is 10" x 10". I cut it out 10" x 20" and folded it in half.

I serge around the three raw edges and then pull the thread ends to secure them.

When using a prepared cake mix, usually the recipe calls for three eggs, 1/2 cup oil and 1 1/3 cup water. At a cake decorating course the instructor told us to omit one egg and the oil to give the the cake a little more firmness making it easier to ice. I do the same for all prepared cake mixes now whether I'm icing them or not and they taste just as good and I don't need to use as many ingredients. :)
