Just stopping in quick. I have been reading posts but haven't gotten around to commenting on many.
Yesterday Graham and I built a feed bunk on the outside a bigger pen and then we took a section out so the pen is bigger now. It was a bit windy but at least it was warm so not too bad to work in.
Today was miserable. Strong north wind that chilled one to the bone. :P I survived. Tomorrow is supposed to be more of the same though. :P After chores, Erin and I hauled five loads of calves down to Graham's to the new pen. It was good to get that done. Now Dad has about 100 calves coming tomorrow and I think we are going to treat them on Friday which is supposed to be a bit warmer.
Up north the roads were treacherous. One guy said it was like an auction, "One person would call up and say they saw 47 vehicles in the ditch, the next person 55, the next person 63..." Another stretch of road had people driving into the ditch, not because they weren't being careful, but because they were in whiteout conditions thinking they were driving on the road.
I'm off for a hot chocolate and then bed. I have lots of pictures to post and maybe I'll get around to it this weekend. :)
