Erin and I had a wonderful time down in ID. Naomi and Ellie ended up coming back with us and we've been having a great time. :D They'll probably be staying for a few weeks. We plan to post pictures when get down to Graham's to use high speed.

Life hasn't slowed down. Tomorrow we are planning to process Graham's cattle and our cousin and his family are going to be stopping by in the evening for a visit.

I'm terribly behind on posting and hope to get back on a more regular schedule soon. Lots to post about!

Wow, life has been nothing short of busy lately. I'm hoping to catch up on some updates and post pics. Tuesday I'm planning on going down to Graham's to watch the election results on the computer and download a bunch of pics. It ceases to be amusing uploading pics at such a slow dial-up speed. :P

Anyways, the past couple days has kept me busy with the garden. Wednesday I dug the potatoes( usually Dad digs them with the tractor but he was busy with harvest, Stefan was going late winterizing sprinkler systems and it was supposed to freeze), carrots, garlic, chives, and beets. The potatoes went in the root cellar, Erin dried the chives, and I canned the beets the next day. I canned about 10 jars earlier on and didn't think the rest left in the ground would grow much bigger since we had a cooler growing season but probably about half of them were a good enough size to can. By the time the day was over I ended up with 28 qts of canned beets and they all sealed. :)

Oh, yes, thanks to everyone that gave their imput on my cooking question. I ended up making Tammy's Condensed Cream Soup(It turned out great!) with the broth but plan to use several of the suggested herbs/seasonings next time. :)

Bountiful harvest
