EDIT: My dear brother informed me that he grew wheat this year and not barley. My deepest apologies to those who were misinformed. :P

The Hutterites were able to harvest Graham's wheat on Friday. This is was really the only photo I was able to get of the harvest and it was actually taken on Thursday. They were all ready to go then and did a couple rounds but the wheat was too wet so had to wait another day. Anyways, the crop is finally off and in the bins. And despite the hail damage earlier on this summer, the yield was better than expected.

Dad wanted to watch the TEAM(The Electronic Auction Market) so I brought my laptop down to Graham's. There was about 5,000 head selling today so it took about 2 hours for the sale.

Erin has gone in to town for KFC as the Hutterites are here harvesting Graham's crop. They came a little earlier than expected which was good. There are 3 combines and 2 trucks going so the work will probalby be done in a couple hours. The weather is very pleasant-cooler without wind. I told Erin to bring the camera as I left it at home. I took several pictures of the harvest last year but never got around to posting them. I never did bother posting them when I finally got the time as usually journals are more for the present...not the past. LOL! Instead of this is what happened today, this is what happened a year ago. That Lindsey is really up on things. Ha!

I've been meaning to post about my trip which is just a month away! I'm going to be flying down to AR on Sept. 19 and my trip will include: visiting with Abigail(get to meet Beth and Erin too! :)), attending Pamela's wedding, and then flying out to VT to visit Ruth again. I'm so excited and am really looking forward to this trip. I was going to come back on Oct 1st but then about a week ago the airlines called and said they overbooked my flight so I'm coming back on the 2nd now. Another day at Ruth's will be fun. :) I've been getting a few things together since I don't have as heavy a workload due to my hand. Usually I leave packing and such until just about last minute. :P :D Thankfully I'll have the splint off my hand for a week before I leave!

Erin just arrived...
