After posting Wednesday night, Erin and I started to watch one of her horse DVD's. The phone rang about 10:45 that some more calves were going to arriving-some from up north and some from Winnipeg. Thankfully they weren't going to be delivered until the next day so we didn't have to get up in the middle of the night.

Thursday I went down to Graham's after hauling a load of water for the calves and we Ivomeced all the calves there. Then Erin and I did one group of Dad's here. I helped Graham feed the calves here and also vacuumed out the truck and jeep. The trucks always get dirty, dusty, etc. so easy out in the country here with the wind and such. I don't know why I keep cleaning them as they look good for about two days...the optimist in me I guess. :P LOL! The calves arrived in two loads-one at 4 PM and one at 7 PM. Erin had prepared Cheesy Macaroni(one of those meals we were looking forward too) for supper and it was cooking in the oven with twenty minutes left when the last liner arrived. There weren't many calves on this load so we figured it would go quick. We like to have two people count the calves off the trailer just to make sure everything is in order, numbers match, etc. When we got in, the timer was off but I don't think it had "over cooked" too long. However, it was not cheesy and kind of "creamy" like usual. We think it was a combination of Erin cooking it in a dark coated pan, a little too much macaroni and being cooked a little longer. Anyhoo...we survived. :) Then day two was completed by the bale wagon here breaking down. Somehow the belt slipped underneath one part(which is like almost an impossibility) and broke. So, the feeding takes Graham a bit longer down below since he has to do it with just the tractor. Other than that, we are keeping everything together...literally. LOL! :)

This morning I hauled water while Erin did the morning chores at the barn here. Another liner arrived as Erin was coming up so she stayed until it was unloaded and then we went to town to pay some bills, do some grocery shopping, etc. Erin and I Ivomeced another pen of Dad's calves when we got back and then it was time to help Graham feed and bed the calves. There was a message on the answering machine when I got in that another load is being delivered tomorrow before noon. That should be the last load for a while as Dad order is filled now. We were going to treat the calves tomorrow but since this load is arriving tomorrow we might wait for a few days. Usually we like them to settle in for a day or two and it'd be a bit easier to do them all together rather than in two groups. I was going to ask Dad tonight but he didn't end up calling. They are 3 hours ahead(Maritimes) so it was too late to call when I thought about it again. So, I'm going to try and call early tomorrow morning.

Erin and I might try and tackle the barn tomorrow. There are also several projects/jobs that I want to get done: sewing, making a cheesecake to freeze, cooking some burger and onion to freeze(I only have one bag left from the last batch-it came in handy several times to make a quick meal-thanks for that idea, Tammy!) cleaning/organizing, paperwork, etc. So, I guess I'll stop typing here and try and get something else done tonight before I head to bed.
