Room renovations finally done...

PINK! With the exception of the ceiling and the floor, every square inch was painted pink.




We had to tape and mud cracks in the walls in several places.




Painted the ceiling and then applied a coat of blueberry paint to the walls.




Mixed Old Navy Blue with a clear glaze and painted over the coat of blueberry. I used a green garbage bag and pressing it evenly across the wall removed part of the paint/glaze leaving an aged textured look. You had to work more quickly with the glaze mix because it started to gel shortly after mixing.

Painted the trim, heat register, and closet Manchester Tan.




My sil and I put up a wallpaper border along the top edge. The walls weren't totally even at the ceiling so it made the project a little more challenging.




Stefan and his worker installed the laminate.




Put the baseboards back up which finished the room! :D

Wow, that turned out *beautiful*!! :-D Like we were telling you in AR, that's very much the color combo we are thinking of using in our music room. We ought to get you out here to help us with the project, since you're an expert. ;-)

If I do visit you guys, we'll have to be sure and make plans to work on the music room. It really isn't hard; just have to work a little quicker with the gel mixture. An expert...that is quite a compliment though I don't quite consider myself in that catergory. ;)

It works especially good for uneven walls and such because the textured looks hides a lot. It really isn't hard to do either!

You can get a lot of interesting patterns with sponges, rags, etc. The little booklet they have with the paint stuff at Home Depot has neat ideas. The options are endless...rag on, rag off, sponge, etc. and each gives a bit of a different touch.
