Seems like most of my friends are getting snow, well it is that time of year. Here, we still have a few lingering piles on the ground and this morning we are seeing a flake here and there. *wished* we had a side of beef to pick up from the butchers. But sadly we didn't grow a steer this year for that. Because we thought we could be ready to move last fall/this spring. I want to make a quilt but decided that this winter it just wasn't going to happen. Maybe next fall I will brainstorm and then work on it in the winter. Your quilt sounds like it will be really nice. I always liked Dresden Plate but decided that for me who doesn't have a ton of quilting experience (I've made lap quilts, one pinwheel/star type quilt with my sister, several 4 block pattern quilts, and then a hanging quilt, and helped mom make some for my brothers) I don't really think that is the design I want to go with. I do know that my quilt will have a lot of blues and probably greens in it.
