BBQ

Graham had us all down for a BBQ at his place. He was planning to have it last week for Canada Day but the weather didn't cooperate.

After sitting in its case for over two years, we pulled the volleyball net out and started to assemble the pieces.

We had a supportive audience. LOL!

It went downhill from here. :P LOL! The wind really came up, the stakes broke when we hammered them in (our volleyball kit was a made in China special), and the poles were not stable. So, we rolled up the net and went in to the house and had ice cream and coffee.

Canada Day

Wow, July is here already. Graham is having everyone down for a BBQ at his place this evening. We are planning on setting up the volleyball net tonight too at his place since he has a nice area of grass in his yard without rocks and cactus plants to dodge. I love playing volleyball. I'm terrible at it but it is fun. :) We played it two years ago while down in AZ at a wedding. The town had just made several improvements to the sports center/area and had put in two new courts so it was great. The day after we arrived back, Dad and Mom went and bought a volleyball set and it has remained in the package unopened since then. Not unusual for here. LOL! So, hopefully it won't rain or blow tonight...at least until after we have the net set up and play a game or two. :)
